Trammed is like "painted with wool". The design is shown by a horizontal colored thread, which has to be overstiched in the same color in half cross stitch. Details like some littel fruits, hands, eyes etc. are already done in petit point. The advantages are: it is shown exactly, where to stitch in what color (horizontal and enclosed threads are exactly the same). There are much more colors included than in a printed canvas, this gives much more detailed shading. Finally the details are done in petit point. The yarn for the trammed design is always included in the trammed kit. But wool for backgrouns is not included.
